1.Let Your Fingers Fly

If you are not an accomplished typist, you need to get yourself into a typing tutorial. There are online programs, some for free; there are community-level courses that are fun if you enjoy learning with others. However you choose to do it, becoming an accomplished typist will be one of the most beneficial things you can do to speed things up.

2.Clear and De-clutter Your Workspace

It is often reported that having a clean and organized workspace makes people more productive If you have a cluttered space, it is difficult to focus. Other factors of your work environment are important too. Some people need full quiet in order to concentrate; others want to have background noise. Temperature is also a factor. Do you work best in warmer or cooler temperatures?

3.Build in Rewards

You alone know what you enjoy. It could be a special meal, a glass of wine, a movie, or just a candy bar. Put that thing in front of yourself as an incentive to work faster. And find 2-3 rewards that motivate you so that you can vary them.

4.Practice Self-Control

We all have our weaknesses. It may be social media; it may be our phones; it may be television. If you know you are prone to certain distractions, you must take steps to eliminate them during your work time. If you really are having difficulty staying off of social media, for example, then download a software program that will prevent you from accessing it during hours that you set in advance. Turn off your phone and leave it in another room. The more distractions you eliminate, the faster you will work.

5.Get the Latest Tools

There are digital tools that will move you faster. Speech recognition software, for example, is now available in a variety of languages. If you consistently translate into a couple of languages, get that software. It will type as fast as you speak.
